Fable creator and former Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has criticized Microsoft’s Kinect and feels sure that you will soon be able to purchase a cheaper Xbox One without the Kinect.
Molyneux spoke to Edge saying: “I actually wish Kinect wasn’t a requirement, It feels like an unnecessary add-on to me. Maybe it’s because we’re in England, and it doesn’t really use the TV stuff, but it feels more and more like a joke. My son and I sit there saying random things at it, and it doesn’t work.”

Xbox users looking to buy a Kinect are in luck. Microsoft has recently announced a new permanent price cut for the Kinect. The new price will be $109.99 in the United States, from its original cost of $149.99. The price will also drop in Latin America and the Asian Pacific region. Australia and New Zealand will follow on October 4. The price will vary from region to region with no plans for a price cut for Europe and Japan.
Lionhead Studios as announced that the demo for Fable: The Journey will be released on September 17. This is also the first time that Lionhead has created a demo for pre-release.
Fable: The Journey will be released for Xbox 360 with Kinect on October 9th in North America and October 12th in Europe.
