Watch Dogs will not have Microtransactions, plus new details

The Watch Dogs release date of May 27th is not so far away now, and as the release date approaches, we’ve been given some more info by developer Ubisoft. In an interview with DualShockers via Twitter, Creative Director Jonathan Morin teased some new features that will be in the game and answered some burning questions.

The first question was about whether or not Watch Dogs would feature the dreaded Microtransactions which Morin was quick to deny saying, “NO! We don’t use this to advance faster or any of that. This just doesn’t fit at all with WD. So no Free-to-Play model here.”

Watch Dogs release date leaked? – Sony Listing

According to a new listing posted on the Sony Entertainment Network, Watch Dogs is due for release on June 30th.

The listing reveals the June 30th release date plus the price tag of $59.99. This could be something they’ve put up in anticipation for a new announcement regarding the game or it could be a place holder for pre-orders, it could of course just be a big mistake.

Ubisoft has five games slated in the coming year

Ubisoft has revealed in their latest investor meeting that they have five major game releases scheduled in the coming year. We currently know of these games for sure: Watch Dogs, The Crew, and Just Dance.

There are heavy hints that one of the two unnamed titles is Tom Clancy’s The Division, which we have heard little of since its announcement last E3, and projected release of Q4 2014. Ubi’s silence regarding the game, however, makes it that less certain than the abovementioned titles.
